BIKE FIT SERVICES
At Flat Tire Co., bike fit is about making your bike work with your body, not against it. Discomfort, fatigue, and handling issues are rarely caused by the bike itself. More often, they come from how the rider interfaces with the bike — at the feet, saddle, and handlebars — and how the bike supports the rider under load.
Our bike fit packages are designed to address those connections in a clear, practical way. Whether you’re looking for basic comfort, dialing in endurance efficiency, or fully optimizing a mountain bike for real trail conditions, our approach focuses on comfort first, control second, and performance that lasts. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or quick adjustments. Every fit is built around how you ride, where you ride, and what your body needs to stay comfortable and confident on the bike.
For in-depth distance and race focus fits, Flat will offer Velogic Fit in the spring of 2026, a modern bike fitting system that combines rider measurements, motion analysis, and real-time feedback to optimize comfort, efficiency, and control — helping riders of all levels feel more confident and comfortable on the bike.

Foot Support • Alignment • Power Transfer
Cleat placement and pedal stance play a major role in comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention. Small misalignments at the foot can contribute to knee pain, hip discomfort, and inefficient power transfer.

Contact Point ASSESSMENT
Saddle • Handlebar • Cleat Interface
The Contact Point Assessment focuses on the three primary contact points between rider and bike: saddle, handlebars, and cleats.
Discomfort, numbness, and instability often originate at one or more of these interfaces. This service allows riders to evaluate and demo contact point changes before committing to new components.
This package may address one contact point or multiple, depending on the rider’s needs.
Contact POINT FAQ'S
- Ideal as a standalone comfort solution
- Often used before committing to a full bike fit

- Riders who are unsure which saddle or handlebar works best for them
- Riders switching disciplines, bikes, or fit positions
- Anyone tired of guessing on contact point components
- Assessment of saddle and/or handlebar

- Riders may demo eligible contact point components for up to 14 days. Items are paid for in full before use.
- If a component does not work, it may be returned within 14 days to try a different option. The previous payment will be transferred to the balance of the next component.
- If a component works well, the demo item may be purchased. Demo costs are non-refundable. Component costs are.

Performance MTB Fit FAQs
A working bike. Preferably with fresh suspension service or low miles since your last service. Come in your riding gear, I know we don't all want to walk around in spandex, but if you can hold the baggies/wear something form-fitting. Don't worry, people won't see you. It just makes it easier to do the fit when we can see your body angles.
For mountain bike performance and fit, we request suspension that is new or freshly serviced to optimize your results. If the suspension is not performing due to a lack of service, then the fit is a waste of money. Just being honest.
